Motorola Wireless Broadband Point-to-Multipoint (PMP) solutions are streamlined, powerful and simple, with built-in installation and deployment assistance, making Motorola solutions faster and easier to implement.

Components include:

Access Point (CAP) Module. The CAP seamlessly interfaces with an existing Local Area Network (LAN) via standard Ethernet connection. Compact and flexible, AP modules are built to be mounted outdoors, eliminating the need for overhead and in-ground wire or microwave.

AP Cluster. The foundation of the Motorola access network system is the AP cluster, a powerful system that includes six APs plus a Cluster Management Module (CMM). The CMM provides power for the CAP modules and includes an Ethernet switch and a GPS receiver.

Subscriber Module (CSM). CSMs are compact and unobtrusive access receivers that are easy to install at a user's or customer's site. Subscriber Modules can be mounted outside, and need no additional software installation. Each CAP module can serve up to 200 CSMs.

PMP 430 Wireless Broadband Access Network

The PMP 430 operates in the 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands. The PMP 430 is equipped with OFDM tech¬nology to deliver outstanding throughput, long range and line of sight (LOS) and near-line of sight (nLOS) performance for reliable and secure data, voice and video connectivity. The PMP 430 provides more than 40 Mbps of total aggregate throughput per Access Point (AP) sector to difficult-to-reach locations, including multipath urban or rural areas. The PMP 430 provides extended ranges of up to 30 miles (48 km) when the Subscriber Module (SM) is configured with a passive LENS or reflector. The PMP 430 also offers low one-way latency of less than 3.5 msec for sensitive voice and video services. SMs can be upgraded from 4 Mbps throughput to 40 Mbps via a software key system to meet customers' growing need for bandwidth.

Point-to-Multipoint 320 Wireless Broadband Access Network

The Point-to-Multipoint 320 is a cost-effective, easy to install, licensed, fixed, outdoor wireless broadband access network solution. WiMAX 802.16e interoperability enables reliable data, voice and video connectivity applications for service providers, enterprise network operators, and government entities.

The PMP 320 operates in the following licensed frequencies:

• 3.3 to 3.4 GHz
• 3.4 to 3.6 GHz (including 3.5 GHz)
